If you’re feeling lonely, hopeless, frustrated or unsure of what you and your partner need when it comes to your relationship, you’re in the right place. There are many reasons couples decide to come to counselling.  These can include wanting to better understand one another, improving communication skills, learning how to resolve or manage conflict, or improving parenting skills.

 

When working with couples, I apply Gottman Couples Therapy, which is a researched based approach to building stronger relationships. Betrayal & Infidelity

After an affair or betrayal, feelings of anger, rage, hurt, jealousy and shock are common.  The partner who has been betrayed may wonder if the relationship can recover or if they can ever trust their partner again.  Both partners may also wonder what led to the breakdown of the relationship.
